Gag- $800 with warranty - kitchen appliances

Problem: I moved into a condo that was renovated in 2007. Fridge is 2 years old, but brand new (never used). We moved in one month ago and found out that it freezes everything. Supposedly the problem parts were covered under warranty, but 3-4 trips out later by mechanics from GE and almost all replaceable parts replaced- and still broken! Husband had to take off 3 separate days because they will only schedule in 4 hour block 'windows'- and kept reassuring us it was 'fixable' so we were accomodating. Now they want us to pay $787.64 for a new fridge plus delivery costs. Yikes! I will obviously not be doing this....and if forced to buy a new fridge I won't be getting a GE!

GE made good on the fridge. The bad news: it took 6-7 visits for them to declare the fridge dead and I had to fax over paperwork to show them the closing date (this solution was figured out by like the 10th agent I talked to). Overall not too happy (2 months with a broken fridge), but in the end it all worked out and I should soon be getting a no-charge replacement.
